Decisions and actions

Cortex evaluates an application through several complementary lenses. A score summarizes risk, while behavioral, affordability, policy, and contextual signals explain why the recommendation fitsβ€”or does not fitβ€”the merchant's configured appetite.

How a verdict is built

LensQuestion it answersExample output
TrustScoreHow does the applicant perform across the weighted risk framework?Score, risk band, category breakdown, and attributed reasons.
Willingness to payWhat does prior repayment behavior suggest about intent?Behavioral verdict, risk signals, and lending confidence.
Capacity to payCan cash flow and available security support repayment?Affordability assessment and a recommended repayment or amount.
Propensity to payHow likely is repayment when the available behavioral and financial signals are considered together?A forward-looking repayment-likelihood assessment.
Risk factorsWhich named issues are driving risk?High-, medium-, or low-severity blockers.
Macro contextWhat economic conditions frame the assessment?Relevant inflation, policy-rate, or market context.
Rules and overrideDoes a hard policy rule apply, or did an authorized person change the computed outcome?Special conditions and an auditable override reason.

The final outcome

Actionable Intelligence returns an approval or decline recommendation with confidence, conditions, and a human-readable explanation. A hard rule can determine the outcome even when other signals are favorable; this is how the merchant's non-negotiable policy remains enforceable.

What happens after a decision

  1. Deliver the result. Cortex sends the TrustScore, decision response, and enrichment response to the configured webhook.
  2. Prepare repayment. For approved credit, Recova Pro can establish consent-based repayment mandates before funds are disbursed, including primary and backup collection accounts where configured.
  3. Report the credit lifecycle. Spectrum can report relevant loan events to licensed credit-bureau partners, helping maintain an auditable credit record.
Merchant configuration determines behavior

Available onward actions depend on the merchant's Cortex and CreditChek service configuration. An approval does not imply that every optional action is automatically enabled.
